Emerald Street Advisors is a principal-led M&A and strategic advisory practice serving the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services market.
Our firm and practice are designed to provide the perspective of an advisor, buyer, and operator, with every engagement delivered directly by the principal for the duration of the engagement.
Scott has over 20 years of experience in investment banking and transaction execution, including fourteen years advising aerospace, defense, and government services companies on M&A transactions, divestitures, ESOP transactions, and financing strategy. Scott founded Emerald Street Advisors to bring that senior capability directly to companies and sponsors who need execution experience and industry expertise.
Prior to Emerald Street Advisors, Scott was a Director at Mufson Howe Hunter, Vice President at KippsDeSanto & Co., and held multiple positions at The McLean Group. Across those roles, Scott advised founder-owned businesses, private equity portfolio companies, and corporate sellers in closing transactions ranging from $20 million to $500 million in total enterprise value. Scott began his career at Goldman, Sachs & Co., working on equity and debt financings of up to $3 billion. He also worked in a control and minority investing role with OceanBridge Partners, an independent financial sponsor founded by former Blackstone and Permira partners, focused primarily on aerospace and diversified industrials.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania and lives in Washington, DC.
